My First Book-card - Addicted To Stamps DT Card

Good morning peeps,
It's been a busy few days for me, hubby had a knee operation in a hospital that isn't local to us but as the waiting time was months shorter than our local hospital it was worth the travelling to hopefully stop him suffering so much, old age is cruel, apparently lol.
He seems to be doing well considering, and even though he's hobbling on crutches, all bandaged up & in pain he still didn't want to risk eating my cooking last night so cooked us a lovely curry, thank god he used to be a chef or we'd have all starved long ago lol.

Today is new challenge day at
& this fortnight our challenge is

My DT card is my very first book-card which I made especially for a blogging friend as I wanted to pop some little goodies inside it for her

Ingredients -
Image - Magnolia, Tilda with Winter Flowers
Medium - Copics
Lace & Ribbon - The Ribbon Girl
Sentiment - Sentiments 4 You (thanks Blondie xx)
Flowers - Prima & Wild Orchid, Kort & Godt
Pearls - Melissa Frances
Pin - homemade

I have distressed my paper edges and added lots of Picket Fence crackle paint to pretty much everything and added some diamond stickles for some lovely sparkle, and some cheesecloth to add to the soft and shabby look.
I love how several of the Magnolia Sweet Christmas Dreams stamps can be used for different occasions which is good as I just want to keep playing with them as they are so adorable but I need to make some birthday cards too as Jodie wanted one to give to her friend yesterday & I only had 2 birthday cards "in stock" for her to choose from, so now I'm down to one single birthday card to spare, shocking lol.
On the inside of the card I made a pocket and added a large tag made with Go Kreate dies to write my greeting on, & inside the box I stamped the gorgeous Magnolia Love Letter directly onto the Magnolia Lace Flower paper.

If anyone wants to make a book-card Tina has a fab tutorial which I followed but changed the dimensions as I wanted my card to be square instead of rectangle as shown in Tina's tutorial

Finally here is the back cover
I'm entering my card in the following challenges -

TOMIC - bingo (left row down, metal embellies, ribbon & bows, Magnolia papers),
 Totally Papercrafts - glitter it,
Crafty Ribbons - bingo (left row down, glitter, punches/dies, lace)
Stamptacular - borders & frames

Before I go I wanted to say a mahoosive thank you to our lovely Steph from Simon Says Stamp for featuring this little card of mine in the Simon Says Stamp advert on the back cover of Magnolia Ink, it's a huge honour to be a cover girl for the second time, thanks soooo much Steph xxx
Don't forget to enter your promotional code from the advert next time you shop peeps to get a free gift with your order
That's it from me peeps, later today I am hoping to put together a couple of quick tutorials that have been requested and spend some time blog hopping & catching up with my masses of emails.
If you haven't entered my candy and would like to it ends tomorrow so pop your name in Mr Linky.

Little Ida's Flowers! - Simon Says Stamp DT Card

Good morning peeps,
Brrrrr it's cold today, I think the furthest I'll be going today is into my craft room so in other words I'm enjoying a day at home.
Hubby and Jode had a really lovely day on Sunday at Hoggin' The Bridge, there were over 3,500 motorbikes there which was a lot more than the organisers anticipated and they raised thousands of pounds for various charity's including Meningitis UK which is close to our hearts as Jodie had Meningitis when she was only 11 and Jodie lost her friend Sophie to it last year. Jodie said it was an amazing & emotional day, she couldn't get over all the people lining the route waving & cheering, I'm amazed she could hear the cheers over the racket those Harley's make lol. After hours searching through You Tube videos of it hubby has managed to find video's of them riding so he's happy lol.

Best Witches & Sweet Christmas, Addicted To Stamps DT & One For Fun

Good morning peeps,
I have been tearing my hair out with frustration with computer issues and have spent the last few days trying to sort them out. Bizarrely my computer was saying my in built disc drive was missing & I needed to upload a new Internet security & antivirus programme as mine expired but it wouldn't read the disc due to the RW having gone missing!!!!! I tried installing the software through an external disc drive so I could come online but it was having none of it so I have been trying to track back & find out if any updates may have affected it so I've been uninstalling & reinstalling updates & just had a bright idea of trying Microsofts MR Fix It as I've used it before & it's brilliant & would you believe it sorted out in about 2 minutes flat so thanks to Mr Fix It I'm good to go again, why oh why didn't I think of trying that first, I wonder if he can fix backs & shoulders too lol.

Jodie just rang to say they've arrived & have gone to buy a hot chocolate but is worried about how they will find hubby's bike again as there are so many parked up.
Last night they were in a procession of 66 Harley bikes which opened Taunton Carnival which they really enjoyed so they've had a busy weekend out & about on the bike.
As I've the day to myself I am going to be inking up a new Tilda or two, after I've fed the dragons of course, crickets & tweezers here I come lol.

On the subject of comments I don't want to offend or upset anyone but PLEASE don't leave me comments with adverts & links to websites / products in unless of course it's from DT members linking to their own challenge blog. I will not publish the comments with the advertising links in which is a shame as they are such lovely comments but I don't endorse these sites / products, I don't know if these links are "safe" or contain a virus as some peeps have had left on their blogs & I don't want my blog used for free advertising. I hope the lady concerned understands & isn't upset by me saying this as I really do appreciate your lovely comments..
